Jennifer Zaylea

Jennifer Zaylea (formerly Rarick) works with sound design and installation as a foundation for her creative practice. Her work is uniquely tactile yet designed using various forms of technology. The ethereal pull of the aural experience dictates the physical form of each work. The works resulting form manifests in many mediums including experimental drawn scores, sound installations involving glass, multimodal poetry and even glitch video with an accompanying sound design. Her works draw upon sound’s ability to generate both common social responses and personal experiences. Jennifer appreciates that her work has the ability to be sonically experienced and recalled after visiting the exhibition space.
