Aubrey Longley-Cook

Aubrey Longley-Cook is an Atlanta based artist working in embroidery and animation. He received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and was honored with a 2013 Emerging Artist Award in Media Arts from Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs. He is a 2013/14 WonderRoot Walthall Artist Fellow and his community-based RuPaul Cross Stitch Animation Workshop was featured in the July/August 2013 issue of Art Papers. The work premiered at his solo show Serving Face co-presented by Barbara Archer Gallery & Erikson Clock on December 14th, 2013, and the animations exhibitied in Queer Threads: Crafting Identity and Community, at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art in New York.
